Meet the Director
Chuck Watterson
Chuck, a full time teacher at CFS, The School at Church Farm, has been working at camps for over 20 years. He started out as a counselor at the Treasure Island and Resica Falls Boys Scout Camps from 1983-1994, holding positions such as arts and crafts staff, Challenging Outdoor Physical Encounter (C.O.P.E.) director, camp commissioner, program director, and camp director. In 1995 and 1996, Chuck worked as a program director at the Children’s Beach House in Lewes, Delaware, providing programs to children with learning disabilities. He joined the CFS Day Camp staff in 1997 as the group 11 Head Counselor, and after the following year, in which he served as the Performing Arts director, Chuck became camp Director, taking over the position from John Kistler, who led the program for over 25 years.
Now in his 9th season as Director, Chuck, along with Program Directors, Rita Porreca and Ann McCauley, continues to make SDC one of the best day camps in Chester County, by providing a safe and fun filled experience!
