Local Runners Raise $2,500 for Lionville Community YMCA
EXTON, PA - Over 100 runners and walkers participated in the 4 th Annual Eagleview Five-Miler on Saturday, May 21 at the Eagleview Corporate Center. Participants in the one-mile family fun walk and five- mile race raised $2,500 for the Y Strong Kids Campaign, which provides financial assistance for families in need.
Darryl Brown from Exton won the men’s division with a time of 27:30 and Pam Gess from Sonerdale, NJ took first place among the women with a time of 33:20. Second-place winners were Scott Karwacki from Bethlehem and Laura Lundardi from West Chester.
The sunny skies provided a beautiful backdrop for special guests the Deb Callhan Band and Freckles the Clown. Fun was had by all and for a great cause!
With branches at each end of the Conestoga Trail, the YMCA of the Upper Main Line has been serving the community with programs and services to build strong kids, strong families and strong communities since 1962.
