Your Full Privilege Membership* Includes:

  • Multiple Facility Usage – A membership at the Upper Main Line YMCA will also allow you to use the Y at Great Valley, Lionville Community YMCA and Eagleview YMCA.
  • Free Classes – Over 100 group exercise classes offered per week including spinning, yoga, pilates, Les Mills certified and other cardio classes. Aquatic Water Exercise and Therapy classes are also included with the membership.
  • Free Babysitting – Full Family and Adult Members are permitted to use Babysitting for FREE while using the facility.
  • Unlimited Use of our Facility– this includes our Adult Wellness Center, Youth Wellness Center, Gymnasium, Pools, Outdoor Tennis Courts, Outdoor Basketball Courts and walking trails around our 54-acre facility.
  • Reduced Prices – As a full member, you will be entitled to reduced rates for classes, camps, Early Learning - daycare and preschool.
  • Priority Registration – You will get to register before it opens to the rest of the community, giving you a better chance to get the classes you want!
  • Free Fitness Center Orientation – If you are unsure on how to properly use the machines in the Wellness Center, one of our Associates will give you an orientation to all the equipment.  To keep track of your workout, ask about our FitLinxx technology.

    Locker Rentals
    Daily lockers are available free for to those using the YMCA.  You must supply your own lock.  A limited number of lockers are available to rent for a small monthly fee in the Adult Locker Rooms.  Please contact the Welcome Center if you are interested in renting a locker.  Locks left on unrented lockers overnight will be removed.

    Towel Service
    There is a nominal fee associated with the large towel.  Each member is entitled to purchase a large towel “Punch Card” at the Welcome Center.  Towel “Punch Card” are $8.00 for 20 punches (towels).  If you forgot your punch card, a large towel can be rented for $1.00 per towel.  Small towels are free of charge and located in the Wellness Center.  The YMCA asks for your help in keeping our facility clean by disposing of dirty towels in the dirty towel bins located around the facility.

    Membership Card Replacement
    YMCA members must scan their cards to gain admittance.  While we make every effort to recognize our members, we ask that every member have their membership card available at all times.  If you do not have your card, you may be delayed while your membership status is checked.  If you lose your card, we will replace it for a nominal fee.  If it needs to be replaced due to deterioration, we will replace it for free.

    Lost and Found  
    The YMCA cannot be held responsible for items left/lost or stolen at the facility or program areas. Items found in the facility will be brought to the Lost & Found bins located in the Welcome Center and held for 2 weeks.  More expensive items will be placed in a safe.  Unclaimed items will be donated to charity.  Please do not bring valuables into the building and if you do, please make sure to place them in a locker with a lock while you leave them unattended.

Adult Wellness Center
8500 square foot Adult Wellness Center for members in 9th grade and above with state of
the art cardio and strength training equipment from Precor. Our cardio equipment is equipped with Cardio Theatre so you can watch your own personal TV right on the treadmill. Voted Main Line Media News 2011 Readers' Choice Award for Best Adult Fitness Center and Kids Gym.
Fitlinxx
Schedule a FREE orientation and learn how to use the equipment and Fitlinxx. Fitlinxx is a computerized system that will help you meet your fitness goals faster by adding an extraordinary "intelligent" dimension to the workout experience. Fitlinxx remembers your personal settings, coaches you on the proper form and speed and shows your progress.
Group Exercise
Choose from over 100 classes per week in our 2500 square foot group exercise studio, cycle studio and zen studio. All aerobic, aqua, spinning, yoga and pilates classes are offered free with your membership.
Youth Wellness Center
Youth Wellness Center for ages 8-14. A supervised workout area just for young people. Once completing the required orientation, depending on age, youth will have access to cardio, Strive strength training equipment, methods of functional training and exer-gaming.
Aquatics
Facilities include 2 indoor 6-lane 25-yard pools, a seasonal indoor/outdoor lap pool, the popular outdoor kiddie "Froggie" pool, an outdoor family pool with water slide and an outdoor 6-lane heated long course 50 meter pool open April through October.
Tennis
Schedule court time on one of our twenty outdoor and four indoor tennis courts. Group and private lessons, leagues and round robins available for a fee. Work out, better your game and enjoy learning a lifetime sport through tennis.
Child Care
The YMCA has an assortment of childcare options on campus. For the working parent we have a licensed full day early learning center as well as a morning half day preschool. Members enjoy two free hours daily of babysitting services while using the facility.
Environmental Education
Our fifty four acres include an on-site Environmental Education Center with live animal exhibits as well walking trails in the Cassatt Preserve.

YMCA Members are welcomed to bring friends to the Y. Certain membership categories receive a number of free guest passes per year and may purchase additional passes. Stop by the Welcome Center to inquire.

A.W.A.Y. Program

When you travel and want to use a YMCA in another city, you may do so on a short-term basis if they participate in the YMCA A.W.A.Y program.  The A.W.A.Y. program offers you access to other YMCA facilities so you won't miss a workout while on vacation or business.  Since the A.W.A.Y. program can vary from one YMCA to the next, please visit the web for details about the program at your destination YMCA.

At our YMCA, if you are visiting from a YMCA that is more than 50 miles away, you may obtain up to 30 guest passes per year for no charge.  Effective May 26, 2012, if you are visiting from a YMCA that is less than 50 miles away, you may use the facilities up to 12 times at the daily guest fee rate listed above.

  • Free 7th Grade Memberships

    Valid for existing students currently enrolled in the 7th grade through the end of August.  To enroll, stop by the Welcome Center with a parent and proof of 7th grade status (report card, class schedule, etc).  Complete a membership application and code of conduct waiver and immediately enjoy all the Y has to offer!

  • Financial Assistance

    It is in keeping of the mission of the Upper Main Line YMCA that no qualifying applicant be denied the benefits of the YMCA due to financial difficulties.  To learn more about our financial assistance program, please click here

  • Military Outreach Initiative

    The Upper Main Line YMCA is part of an initiative launched by the Armed Services YMCA and the Department of Defense to address the needs of families of deployed military personnel who live far from a military institution and require access to child development, family strengthening and health/well-being programs.   • Local Service Agencies

    The YMCA supports local service agencies including clergy, Easttown Police, Berwyn Fire Company and active duty military by offering a discount on membership dues.  Please contact the Membership Director at 610/647-9622, x2127 for details.

Annual Payment

Membership dues are paid in full once a year. Every twelve months a renewal notice is sent for your convenience.

EFT Payment Option

Our EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) membership payment plan is an electronic bank draft program. EFT provides you with continuous privileges for as long as you want through payment of a low monthly fee with no interest charges.

No Annual Renewal Hassles!

  1. Complete the EFT (Electric Funds Transfer) form,
  2. Submit either a voided check or credit card slip.

Then, once a month an automatic deduction of the stated fees will be transferred by your bank from your account to the YMCA as payment for your monthly dues. Let us know if your credit card information changes.

Please make sure that we have the updated credit card information on file to keep your membership in tact. Stop by the Welcome Center to have your new credit card information swiped into the system.

If you are on the EFT payment plan, please make sure that we have the updated credit card information on file to keep your membership intact. Stop by the Welcome Center to have your new credit card information swiped into the system. Changes to your account are not permitted to be made over the phone in the Welcome Center.

Membership Cancellations
To cancel your membership, we ask for 10 days notice in writing prior to your next EFT date to allow for YMCA and bank processing times. Your current rate is effective until your next scheduled EFT date and will not be pro-rated. In your cancellation notice, please provide your name, phone number, address and reason for cancellation. For your convenience, you can email UMLYservices@umly.org to cancel.

General Policies

The YMCA will provide direct supervision for youth enrolled in YMCA programs during scheduled program times.  The YMCA will not be held responsible for the supervision of children outside program areas or beyond indicated times.  DURING NON-SCHEDULED PROGRAMMING, CHILDREN 11 AND YOUNGER MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES.

An additional adult or nanny/caretaker living in the household can be added to the Family Membership for an extra fee of $15/month. This fee will need to be applied if the adult, nanny/caretaker will be using the facility.

Upper Main Line YMCA Code of Conduct (click to view)

The YMCA of the Upper Main Line is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all members, participants, guests, visiting teams/coaches/parents, vendors, or others. To promote safety and comfort for all, we ask individuals to act appropriately at all times when they are in our facility, participating in our programs or on our property.

We expect persons using the YMCA to comply with all facility policies and to use the YMCA values of Caring, Honesty and Respect and Responsibility in their conduct and relationships with others. Our Code of Conduct does not permit language or any action that can hurt or frighten another person, or that falls below a generally accepted standard of conduct.

Prohibited actions specifically include:

  • Angry or vulgar language, including swearing, name-calling or shouting.
  • Physical contact with another person in any angry or threatening way.
  • Any demonstration of sexual activity or sexual contact with another person.
  • Harassment, bullying or intimidation by words, gestures, body language or any menacing behavior.
  • Improper contact or conversations with minors.
  • Any conduct of an inappropriate, threatening or offensive nature.
  • Cell phones or any devices capable of taking photos are not permitted in locker rooms or fitness centers.
  • Theft, vandalism or other behavior that results in the destruction of property.
  • Carrying or concealing any weapons or devices or objects that may be used as weapons.
  • Using or possessing illegal substances on YMCA property, in YMCA vehicles, at YMCA sponsored programs or events.
  • Alcohol, except with the prior written approval of the CEO, is prohibited on YMCA property, in YMCA vehicles, or at YMCA sponsored programs or events.
  • Unauthorized solicitation is not permitted at the YMCA or at YMCA sponsored events.
  • Loitering is not permitted in or outside the YMCA.
  • Smoking is not permitted in or outside the YMCA. The YMCA and its property is a smoke-free environment.
  • Inappropriate attire. Appropriate attire must be worn at all times. Vulgar language or images on clothing constitutes inappropriate attire.

This list is not to be considered all-inclusive. Senior management and the Membership and Program Committee will conduct a thorough investigation of all reported incidents. Suspension or termination of YMCA membership and use privileges may result if a violation of the YMCA Code of Conduct has occurred.

Members and guests are encouraged to be responsible for their personal comfort and safety, and to ask any person whose behavior threatens their safety or comfort to refrain from such conduct. Parents or guardians are responsible for the behavior of their minor children. If a member or guest feels uncomfortable in confronting a person directly, the member should report the behavior to a staff person or the senior director on duty. Reports of inappropriate conduct should be made as soon as possible. YMCA staff members are eager to be of assistance. Members and guests should not hesitate to notify a staff member if assistance is needed.

In order to be able to carry out these policies, members and guests are required to produce a membership card or identification upon request of YMCA staff member.
