Support the Y The YMCA of the Upper Main Line was founded on the philanthropy - including gifts of time, talent, and financial support - of the community in 1962.
The continuation and expansion of giving to the YMCA since then has helped us remain one of the most valuable community resources in the region. The philanthropic investment of our members, businesses, friends and staff help to provide funding for the Y’s financial assistance program, day-to-day operations and for our long-term goals, which include facility expansion/enhancements.
Supporting the Y ensures that we are here for those who need us most with programs, activities and services that best meet the needs of children and families in our community.
Please see the Ways to Give section of this site to learn more about different ways to support the YMCA. Whether it is to recognize the extraordinary experience you received as a member, to make a difference for a local family with financial assistance, or to help preserve our mission, your gift will ensure no eligible person will be turned away for inability to pay.
You can support the YMCA while marketing your organization through sponsorships–either financial contributions or gifts-in-kind. Through sponsorships, organizations like yours help the YMCA to continue in its mission to provide programs and events that help people in your community.
This 8,500 square foot space houses the latest Precor equipment with Fitlinxx®, a computer attached to our fitness equipment that adds an "intelligent" dimension to the workout experience. Opportunities are available to show your message to more than 500 members per day on the sign-in kiosk as well as on the monitor of the treadmill where each member's use averages 30 minutes per day.
Throughout the year, nearly 1,000 members and the community participate in YMCA sports programs. Sponsorships help to purchase uniforms and equipment, upgrade facilities and defray the cost of end of season participation awards.
Opportunities: Swim Team, Youth Sports (Basketball, T-Ball, Soccer, Flag Football, Tennis and others), Adult Leagues (Basketball, Floor/Street Hockey, Flag Football, Tennis), Gymnastics and Special Olympics.
The YMCA offers programs that build more than muscle. Our Arts and Humanities programs include Dance, Theatre, Music, Painting, Pottery and much more. Your tax-deductible sponsorship helps to defray the cost of art supplies, fund the end of the year dance recital and subsidize trips to local museums and shows.
YMCA Earth Service Corp (YESC) is a national service-learning program for teens. Founded on the building blocks of leadership development, environmental education, action, and cross-cultural awareness, YESC works in diverse communities to shape today's youth. At UMLY, the YESC is dedicated to local biodiversity awareness, preservation, and conservation through service projects both at the YMCA and in the surrounding tri-state area. The group has traveled to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and hurricane ravaged New Orleans.

Sponsorship includes two t-shirts for each volunteer, nametags, training and orientation materials.
