There is something for everyone at the YMCA. Teens enjoy a myriad of programs and activities all year long. Memberships for individuals up to 18 years old are just $31 a month. This includes use of the fitness center, pools, gymnasium, and lower rates for programs. Memberships for 7th graders are free as part of our 7th Grade Initiative.

The Y offers a variety of programs designed to allow inspired teens to learn, improve and showcase their talents. Artists interested in teaching programs are encouraged to contact us. Examples include:

Swim/Dive/Save Lives

Aquatics Opportunities

Swim Lessons encompass the YMCA's philosophy of developing the participant’s spirit, mind, and body. Instructors focus on skill development, confidence building, increasing endurance, and installing a sense of personal safety in each student. Examples include:

Teen Club

Teen Club

6th to 8th Grade

Designed to provide an active, safe and educational place for teens to go after school, the Teen Club is a wonderful option for families of middle school age students.

Teens will spend time enriching their minds through creative exploration and civic involvement; strengthening their bodies through organized physical activities; and participating in a multitude of planned activities including homework time.

Just For Teens

Teen Nights

Throughout the year, the Y plans events and trips just for teens! This could include laser tag at our facility, or hopping on a bus for a local evening adventure. Check our latest program guide for upcoming Teen Nights.

Y Youth & Government

This program brings the workings of state government alive to students. It creates an opportunity for students to discuss current state issues with state administrators, elected officials and students from YMCAs throughout the state.

Sports Opportunities

At the YMCA, what happens off the field is just as important as what happens on the field. Our sports programs help young people grow personally, clarify values, improve relationships, appreciate diversity, develop leadership skills and have fun. Sports instructional programs are available for those up to 12 years old.

Get Fit/Stay Fit

Wellness Opportunities

If you are a member at least 12 years old, the wellness centers and aerobics classes are available for you to use. Want to learn to safely use the fitness equipment? Sign up for personal training or a free orientation.

One-On-One for Youth Wellness is a program designed to teach 10 and 11 year olds the fundamentals of our fitness equipment. Upon completion of this program, members are invited to use the fitness center with a parent. Full members can contact the Welcome Center for pricing and sign up.

8 to 11 year old members are encouraged to attend our new Youth Yoga and Kids Zumba. These classes are included with membership and are designed to be a fun introduction to these popular activities. Check the latest FlexFit schedule for details.

Teen Volunteer Program

Volunteering is at the heart of the Y mission statement. Teens are encouraged to complete a volunteer application. Gain valuable work experience, spend time with our campers and afterschool kids, or donate a few hours of your time to help in the program areas. If you are interested in volunteering in a specific area or have a talent you would like to showcase at the Y, please include this on your application.
